- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Combined synopsis/solicitation Kindle DX This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-37. The requirement is 100% small business set aside, and the associated NAICS code is 423430. The size standard is $100 employees. The Government will award a firm-fixed price contract from this solicitation. The product will need to be ship within 15 of the receiving the purchase order. This requirement is to procure Kindle DX (BRAND NAME). Completed proposals are due 18 March 2011 at 10:00 AM EST. Questions regarding this solicitation shall be emailed to Jeannette Jordan at Jeannette.Jordan@us.army.mil. Questions are due no later than 16 March at 10:00 am, Eastern Standard Time. No information, answers to questions concerning this Request for Proposal (RFP) will be provided via telephone. Please see the attached Performance Work Statement for description of product. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: The winning contractor must provide a Point of Contact (POC) to receive the award and start performance immediately upon contract award. Award Determination: The award determination is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Source Selection Process (see FAR 15.101-2). The LPTA process is appropriate when best value is expected to result from selection of a technically acceptable proposal with the lowest evaluated price. LPTAs are done through the establishment of minimum requirements to be evaluated on an "acceptable" or "unacceptable" basis according the required specification of product. PERIOD OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFERORS: The offeror agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 60 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of proposals, unless another time period is specified in an amendment to the combines synopsis/ solicitation. LATE OFFERS: Proposals or modification of proposals received at the address specified for the receipt of proposals after the exact time specified for receipt of proposals WILL NOT be considered. Clauses can be accessed electronically in full text through http://farsite.hill.af.mil. Contractors must be actively registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov.
