- Notice of Intent: Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Belvoir, VA intends to award sole source award to MBA Design & Display Products, located at 35 East Uwchlan Ave., Exton, PA, for additional mila-wall partitions. MBA Design & Display Products (MBA) originally installed the mila-wall partition to the National Museum of Health and Medicine and have the materials required and the knowledge that would efficiently provide the proper support for displays in the museum's wall exhibitions. The action is being processed in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source, and solicited in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as the Government believes that there is only one responsible source and no other service will satisfy the agency's requirement. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition, and market research has revealed this contractor is the manufacturer who maintains the proprietary patents and is the only source capable of providing the required item. Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Belvoir, VA., intends to procure the attached items as required to fulfill the mission and need of National Museum of Health and Medicine. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 337215 and is considered a large business. This is not a request for competitive proposals. If you feel your firm can provide these services, please submit a capabilities statement by 2 pm EST, 16 April 2011. No fax or email copies will be accepted. Any response to this notice must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed actions is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. The Government reserves the right to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) as a result of this announcement. Please be advised that this announcement may constitute the only notice that will be posted for this acquisition, based on the review of any responses to this notice.
