Description
This is a notice of the Government's intent to extend the period of performance and increase the contract dollar value for the current Basic Center Operations (BCO) delivery order awarded under the Information Assurance Technology Analysis Center (IATAC) contract SP0700-98-D-4002-0345. The delivery is scheduled to expire 14 May 2011. The intent is to extend the present performance period up to up to six months from 15 May 2011 through 14 Nov 2011 and incorporate FAR 52.217-8 'Option to Extend Services' for a period not to exceed six months, from 15 Nov 2011 through 14 May 2012. If executed, the value of the delivery order will be increased by an estimated $1.7M. The Government intends to negotiate with the incumbent contractor, Booz Allen Hamilton, on a sole-source basis. This extension will permit the continuation IATAC BCO functions Information Collection, Information Processing and Management, Information Analysis, and Information Dissemination. This is neither a Request for Proposal nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the Government's discretion. Information received by close of business 15 Mar 2011 will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
