Description
Upgrade Electrical Deficiencies Phase 2, Project 534-09-108. FCA-F-Bldg1-Elec-Primary Switchgear 122906: This phase will raise Automatic Transfer Switches and selected Distribution Panels, Power Panels Transformers and MCC ™s to the second floor level above flood plain. Work will include purchase and installation of new electrical equipment and connection of the new equipment to the recently installed Emergency and Normal Power Switchboards (Emergency and Normal Switchboards installed under Project 534- 07- 108ES). Conduit, wire, junction boxes, waterproof splices and other necessary electrical fittings are included. Concrete coring and fireproofing incidental to the electrical installation will be performed. Architectural work will include building new electrical closets and repairing finishes in disturbed areas. Lighting, power receptacles, fire sprinkler and fire alarm modifications will be made as necessary to meet code requirements. Space will be conditioned to meet ventilation requirements of the installed equipment. Once the new equipment is installed and tested the existing equipment will be demolished. All work is to be performed in accordance with the specifications and drawings at the Ralph H. Johnson VAMC, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC. All work is expected to be completed within 365 days from the notice to proceed. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Consideration is limited to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses, and the solicitation will be issued as a Sealed Bid. The bids shall be hand delivered or mailed to the Ralph H. Johnson, VAMC, Attn: Cassaundra Mulligan, Code S150B, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29401-5799. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 238210 and the Small Business Size Standard is $14 M. This notice is issued subject to the availability of funds and is not a request for proposal. The solicitation will be issued on the Federal Business Opportunities Website on or about March 25, 2011.
