Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N40442-11-T-7369, and it is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-48, effective 30 DEC 2010. NAICS code332322 applies. This is a small business set-aside. Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), Norfolk, VA intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for USNS WASHINGTON CHAMBERS for the following services: The requested period of performance for the below service is 23 June 2011 - 20 August 2011. Performance Location: Shipyard awarded PSA Contract ABSTRACT 1.1 This item describes the request for Contractor to provide labor and material to fabricate and install marine grade furniture for the office and stateroom of the Master and Chief Engineer of the USNS Washington Chambers. 2.0 REFERENCES/ENCLOSURES 2.1 References: 2.1.1 PMI-(T-AKE-5)-001 Habitability Improvements Captain's Spaces 2.1.2 PMI-(T-AKE-5)-002 Habitability Improvements Chief's Spaces 2.2 Enclosures: None 3.0 ITEM LOCATION/QUANTITY/DESCRIPTION 3.1 Location: 3.1.1 06 Level Master Office/Stateroom 3.1.2 06 Level Chief Engineer Office/Stateroom 3.2 Quantity: N/A 3.3 Description: N/A 4.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS/SERVICES: None 5.0 NOTES 5.1 Completed material shall be shipped to USNS Washington Chambers, BATS warehouse San Diego, CA 5.2 Do not provide drawing item 21, Stratica Flooring 5.3 Performance Period: 23 June 2011 - 20 August 2011 Post-Shakedown Availability (PSA) 5.4 Performance Location: Shipyard awarded PSA contract. 5.5 Provide an access list of all personnel boarding the ship. The contractor and subcontractors shall obey all posted and verbal instructions regarding safety and exclusion from High Voltage areas. At no time shall a contractor or subcontractor approach, work on, or enter a High Voltage area without proper authorization. 6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS 6.1 Work completed upon satisfaction of Master and Chief Engineer. 7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK: 7.1 Fabricate and install furniture, using marine grade quality material, in accordance with Drawing No. PMI-(T-AKE-5)-001 "Habitability Improvements Captain's Spaces" and Drawing No. PMI-(T-AKE-5)-002 "Habitability Improvements Chief's Spaces" 7.2 Fabricate two (2) Entertainment Center's Referenced as Item 19 in parts list and shown as "Existing" in source column. Marine grade quality shall be utilized. Installation notes 1-3 and 8 shall be accomplished. 7.3 Sub-bases shall be fabricated for all new furniture.
