Description

Please note that this is NOT a request for SF330's or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue additional announcements or solicitation documents. The Battle Creek VA Medical Center, Battle Creek, MI, is conducting a market survey for well qualified small businesses (in the following socioeconomic categories: Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8a, and/or Hub Zone) capable of providing the required A/E services outlined below for the VA Medical Center located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Applicable NAICS code 541330 and size standard $4.5 million. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated construction cost of the resulting construction project is between $100,000 through $250,000. All interested parties must have a working office that would provide the professional services within a 125 mile radius of Battle Creek, Michigan. Responses to this notice shall be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received no later than March 14, 2011. No telephone inquires will be accepted. All responses to this notice must identify the social economic category of the respondent, name and address of company, name and phone number of contact person, and the company's DUNS number. Description of work to be performed includes: Project No. 515-11-14 titled "Install Centralized Waiting Rooms Bldg 2", will include the following items: The Architect/Engineer shall provide design services necessary to furnish: Schematics, Design Development, Construction Documents, Technical Specifications, Construction Period Services, Site Visits, Cost Estimates, As-Built Documentation, and all other related information for Project 515-10-114, Install Centralized Waiting Room Building 2, at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. This project will renovate and combine the x-ray and lab waiting areas on the second floor of Building 2, along with providing one central reception area. Currently the lab and x-ray waiting areas are directly adjacent to one another with a single sided reception window separating the two. By rearranging the layout of these spaces, one large single waiting area with central reception area will be created. The creation of this larger waiting area will help eliminate the early morning crowding currently experienced in the lab, and create a more aesthetically appealing waiting area. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received no later than March 14, 2011. No telephone inquires will be accepted and no additional information regarding the scope of work is available at this time. All responses to this notice must identify the social economic category of the respondent, name and address of company, name and phone number of contact person, and the company's DUNS number.
