- Construction/renovation of a decommissioned Airport Surveillance Radar building for a remote transmitter and receiver (RTR ) facility, Abilene Regional Airport, Abilene, TX.The project includes installation of four Government Furnished Material (GFM) 50 foot antenna towers, tower foundation, grounding, lightning protection, interior electronics preparation, modifying electrical power service and adding a double-throw safety switch for temporary EG power, and the demolition of one 50 foot ASR structural steel tower.Demolition and removal of the existing 20T HVAC and handler system, electrical installation of new 10T HVAC and handler system (contractor provided).TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE - NAICS 237990 - The contractor awarded this contract must have active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.ccr.gov.Proposal shall be forwarded to the address in item 7 of the SF1442 - NO ELECTRONIC OFFERS ARE AUTHORIZED.This paragraph is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged businesses Utilization has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and control by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime and sub-contractor at any tier. The DOT bonding assistance program enable firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on bond amount to surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit of $750,000.
