Description
This is a Large acquisition for NSN 6135-01-142-6456. Specifications, plans, or drawing are not available from the Government. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1). Current approved manufacturers are Wilson Great Batch Limited (62713) P/N 3PD15 or C56 0001-02 and GE Aviation Systems LLC (86360) P/N C56000A-02. This solicitation will be issued 03/21/11 and closes 04/21/11. The requirement is for a quantity of 1275 EA with a 100% option (total 2558) to be shipped to New Cumberland, PA (W25G1U). FOB is destination and inspection/acceptance is at Origin. The Government's requested delivery is 180 days. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based on a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as decribed in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The solicitation will be available in the FedBizOps on its issue date of 03/21/11. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement of Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only a limited number of sources under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of the synopsis will be concidered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses the notice is solely within the descretion of the Government. Information received will normallly be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in PART 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies of services. However interested persons may identify to the Contracting Officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of the notice. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. There is no Set-Aside for this solicitation.
