Description
M141 BDM/M72 LAW Sub-Caliber Trainer Refurbishment Services Document Type: Sources Sought Notice The U.S. Army, The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Picatinny, on behalf of the Office of the Program Manager, Close Combat Systems, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ are currently seeking sources that have the capability of refurbishing and maintaining the M141 Bunker Defeat Munition (BDM) and M72 Lightweight Anti-Armor Weapon (LAW) Sub-Caliber Trainer devices as needed by the Government with a quick turn-around time, (45 days). The BDM and LAW Sub-Caliber Trainers provide realistic live fire simulation of tactical firings for the Warfighter at different CONUS locations. The Sub-Caliber Trainers, which are located at CONUS locations, replicate weight, tactile feel and visual appearance of the live systems. Respondents must be capable of providing all parts required to refurbish and maintain the Sub-Caliber Training devices and continue to replicate the appearance and function of the live BDM and LAW systems while meeting Government dynamic schedule requirements. Interested firms must provide past experience in production, distribution, maintenance, repair, refurbishment and capability of supplying training materials, training launchers, and sub-caliber training munitions. Respondents to this survey must be able to show adequate technical, manufacturing capability and past experience (i.e. manpower, facilities, production, distribution, maintenance, repair, and capability of supplying training materials, training launchers, and sub-caliber training munitions). Firms must also provide their business size and status. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government implies no intention or opportunity to acquire funding to support current or future production efforts. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
