****NOTE: THE COMPLETE SOLICITATION WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ONLY AT WWW.FEDCONNECT.NET****BLM Invitation for Bids, L11PS00260, 1,000 TONS OF GOOD QUALITY ALFALFA HAY TO BE DELIVERED TO LITCHFIELD, CA AS FOLLOWS: Delivery Schedule - between March 25, 2011 and July 1, 2011, as requested by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Solicitation number L11PS00260 applies and will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about March 3, 2011 for the following requirement: The BLMs Litchfield, CA Holding Facility has a requirement for 1,000 tons of good quality alfalfa hay, with the following requirements: Domestically grown; Sun-cured with no moisture damage, not heating. Properly stored and well cured; Free of mold, dust, Russian Thistle or Prickly herb, cheat grass, fox tails, corn stalks, bearded grain, and other long awns (spikelets), and any other weed or grass not considered healthy forage for domestic animals; Free from animal contamination, dangerous pesticides and foreign matter of any kind (i.e., wire, nails, or other debris); Hay shall be cut with a crimper and bailed with wire, or Rat and Rot-proof twine; Bales shall be delivered direct from fields or barns via clean vehicles not used for transport of livestock; Bales shall be uniform lengths; ragged bales shall not be accepted; Bales with loose wire/twine or broken bales shall not be accepted; Bales from the California Correctional Center, Susanville, CA, fields will not be accepted; Review the solicitation for a complete list of specifications. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS classification is 111940. Size standard is $.75 M. Bids are due March 16, 2011 by 10:00 AM Mountain Time. The anticipated award date is March 23, 2011 for a Firm Fixed Price contract. An award will be made to the lowest bidder.
