- NASA/GSFC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for an 8(a)certified company whom can provide the following service: General science and engineering support for activities with the Sciences and ExplorationDirectorate of NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center.The areas of support for this contract may include, but are not limited to:1. General Engineering, mechanical, electrical, thermal, software, etc.2. General Instrument development3. ASIC designs, mix signal4. Parts fabrication, electricalWork activities may include but are not limited to multidiscipline tasks (i.e.mechanical, electrical, optical, thermal, system, etc.), Engineering Support (design,analysis, parts fabrication, assembly and development of assembly procedures,environmental testing of instruments or instrument subsystems or components, systemengineering, assembly technician, etc.), custom analog and mixed-signal ASIC (ApplicationSpecific Integrated Circuits), developments of high channel density, and high-performancedetector arrays for astrophysical research, etc.The Instrumentation and Electronics design will typically involve designing for nuclearradiation detection and spectroscopy, ultra low power and ultra small size detector andsensor electronics for various applications. Support in areas other than Electronic Engineering may be required. For example thesetasks may include support on guidance navigation and control services for BalloonProjects and rockets. Specifically, the contractor may be required to provide designdetails necessary to implement and test the pointing control system. This may include butnot limited to specific software functions needed for operation, modeling of actuatorservo loops, analysis of pointing performance and stability margins, simulation, flightsoftware development and test support, etc. Other supports on Balloon Projects areaincludes specialized areas in software development, control, avionics, integration,testing (electrical and mechanical), and long field campaign support in remote areas.No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service.
