Also attached in word format for ease of reading. CLARIFICATIONS for SOLICITATION FA4890-11-T-0002 QUESTION: Do you know if there is a required/preferred band for the wireless system to operate? C, L, S, or Ku band. Since this system is to be operated/delivered in El Paso, TX, I wanted to ensure that the wireless system that we utilize is suitable for your operating environment? ANSWER: For the communications link, there is no preferred band; however the contractor should avoid bands/freqs the TARS system is currently using due to the potential for interference. For example, the air surveillance radar operates in the S-band. Other freqs currently in use at the Eagle Pass TX TARS site are shown in the attached Clarifications for TARS Camera Purchase document QUESTION: Is there a requirement for a High Definition (HD) EO/IR system, and wanted to know if this was intentional, or is it assumed that the system would be HD since this is the standard in today's sensors. ANSWER: The Government assumes that a system meeting today's commercial industry standard regarding Definition would be proposed.
