Description
Statement of Work U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is in the process of developing a requirement for the procurement of Field Maintenance Armor Training (FMAT) Bag/Tool Kits. This posting is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) for the purpose of collecting market research for the developing requirement. this posting DOES NOT constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ). Responses to this RFI will allow CBP to incorporate industry input into the initial stages of the procurement process and help determine if this requirement can be set aside for small business if and when the requirement fully develops. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. NOTE: RFI responses will not be shared with other industry suppliers and will solely be used as part of the requirement planning process. CBP is looking for responses to this RFI that indicate interest in submitting a proposal once the requirement develops as well as indicate the socio-economic status of responding companies. As stated in the attached "Draft" Statement of Work, in order for this to be a small business set aside, small business interests must respond indicating interest in the requirement and EITHER the ability to obtain all items for the FMAT kits from small business concerns OR show where items are listed on the SBA waiver list that shows these items can only be obtained from large business interests. If you have clarification questions after reading the RFI and attached Statement of Work, please send the questions in writing via email to Robert Sieferman at robert.sieferman@dhs.gov. The clarification questions must be received no later than close of business Monday, February 14, 2011. This deadline is necessary in order to obtain answeres to the questions by the requesting office. Any questions received after the deadline will not be answered. DO NOT calll the office with questions as the questions will not be answered over the phone. Only email coorspondence will be accepted by the contract specialist.
