Description
There have been some questions that have been asked by potential offerors regarding this solicitation. Those questions have been sent to the engineer and he has provided responses listed below: 1. The Purchase Description describes a Vibration Secondary Calibration System (VSCS). The solicitation announcement (including the CLINs) does not refer to VSCS. Instead the solicitation uses the terminolgy "Base Reference Standards" and "Accelerometers" for what the government wants to procure: "Offerors are requested to provide pricing for 70 Base Reference Standards and 77 Accelerometers". A Base Reference Standard and accelerometers are small parts of the VSCS - how many VSCS units are being requested? RESPONSE: The quantities are 70 Vibration Secondary Calibration Standards (VSCS) without Base Reference Standard Accelerometers (System 1, reference par 1 of Purchase Description) and 77 Base Reference Standard Accelerometers (System 2, reference par 1.0 of Purchase Description). 2. Is it the intent that the vendor supply impedance match resistors as part of this solicitation to meet the input impedance requirements in section 3.16? RESPONSE: No, the vendor does not have to supply resistors for the impedance requirements in section 3.16. 3.Please explain the requirement definition for the constant displacement excitation control (section 3.8). Does this mean that the system must have 1) velocity AND displacement capabilities or 2) velocity OR displacement capability (one or the other)? Also does this mean that a DUT profile will be specified in terms of a maximum velocity/displacement limit? RESPONSE: Yes, the VSCS must have velocity AND displacement capabilities, and yes the DUT profile shall be specified in terms of maximum displacement limit, but No not for maximum velocity.
