- Attached is the complete solicitation. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only full and open competition solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Simplified acquisition procedures and the resultant purchase order will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 05-49. Solicitation number FDA-SOL- 1081941 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This synopsis, NAICS code 334510, size standard 500, is to notify contractors that the government intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13.106 for the following statement of work, under the simplified acquisition procedures. The Government reserves the right to award a contract without discussions if the Contracting Officer determines that the initial offer(s) is/are providing the Best Value and discussions are not necessary. PART 2: CONTRACT The government anticipates a firm fixed price contract for five (5) HPLC-Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometers with ion trap capability and 4 option years of service agreements. 2.1 Period of Performance: Base plus 4 option years for service maintenance agreements. 2.2 Pricing: Contract funding is subject to 52.232-18 Availability of Funds (APR 1984).
