Description
The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole-source procurement (under FAR authority 6.302) to Masters Mates and Pilots Maritime Advancement Training, Education and Safety Program, 692 Maritime Blvd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 for the following: Design and completion of hydrodynamic ship model of CGC POLAR STAR for use in Bridge Resource Management Simulator training. This model shall be designed and compatiable for use in the Pacific Maritime Institute Transas NaviTrainer 4.60 utilizing a 240 degree field of view including 30 degrees abaft each beam. The model should take advantage of the visual control system of the simulator that allows the operator to choose between port and starboard bridge wing locations and to rotate the visual image vertically so the shops, assist tugs, side and dock are visible. The model shall be compatible for use in a simulated ice environment to take advantage of the Pacific Maritime Institute Simulator Icebreaking Environment. The NAICS Code for this procurement 611430. The contract type will be a firm-fixed price. If no responses are received within fifteen (15) days with sufficient information to determine that another responsible source is available, negotiations will be conducted with Masters, Mate & Pilots Maritime Advancement, Training, Education and Safety Program. Responses shall be in written form; either via fax or email. NO TELEPHONE INQURIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
