Description
Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) is seeking sources with the capability to perform high frequency vibration testing based on MIL-STD-810 categories 4, 8, 10 and 11 for the U.S. Army Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC), Design Engineering and Test Facility (DE&TF) located at Rock Island Arsenal. The test item is high pressure breathable air compressor which has a footprint of approximately 70"L x 58"W x 55" H and weighs approximately 1200 lbs. Testing to be conducted at the Contractor's facility with observation of the testing by a Government representative. Contractor to be ISO 17025 certified. Specifics of the tests are as follows: Category 4 - Composite Wheeled Vehicle The composite wheeled vehicle (truck/trailer - secured cargo) testing will be performed as defined in the MIL-STD 810G, Method 514.6 Annex C, Table C-V, Nomenclature M814, Figure 514.6C-3 and Table 514.6C-VI.. Category 8 - Propeller Aircraft Vibration Testing The sine on random aircraft vibration testing will be performed as defined in the MIL-STD 810G, Method 514.6 Annex C, Table 514.6C-IX, and Figure 514.6C-7 using a C130 for the calculations. Category 10 - Watercraft - Marine Vehicles Vibration Testing The Watercraft - marine vehicles random vibration testing will be performed as defined in the MIL-STD 810G, Method 514.6 Annex D, Figure 514.6D-9. The vibration testing will be performed at the lab ambient temperature and humidity conditions for eight hour test in each of the three orthogonal axes. Category 11 - Railroad - Train Vibration Testing The random railroad - train vibration testing will be performed as defined in the MIL-STD 810G, Method 514.6 Annex C, Figure 514.6C-10. The vibration testing will be performed at the lab ambient temperature and humidity conditions for eight hour test in each of the three orthogonal axes. INSTRUCTIONS TO INTERESTED PARTIES: Request that all interested offerors must provide a capability statement and detail their previous work experience in the areas listed above. Work performed within the past three years is considered relevant experience for this sources sought announcement response. Please include in the capability statement Points of Contact who can provide additional information if requested.
