Description
Market Survey for Prototype Mounting Rails on the XM806 The U.S. Army, Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center of Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources interested in fabrication of prototype metal parts. Perspective supplier shall manufacture, inspect and ship intricate, prototype metal parts from provided drawings. This survey is in support of the US Army Product Manager Crew Served Weapons (PM CSW). Given the unpredictable nature of the requirement, only small scale orders are anticipated to be placed at time of receipt. At the present time the anticipated first order placed would consist of approximately 3 Mounting Rails. Only contractors willing and able to produce the approximate required quantities should respond. The XM806 is a light weight/low recoil machine gun designed to deliver heavier small arms firepower in a more maneuverable weapon system footprint. Contractors must provide proof and demonstrate the ability to manufacture Mounting Rails for a similar gun as described above. Said manufactured parts have a Technical Distribution Package associated with the fabrication and need to adhere to USG drawings. All technical documents associated with this procurement are marked with Distribution Statement D. To obtain a copy of this Technical Data Package (TDP): Interested parties must email an approved DD Form 2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, a completed and signed AMSTA-AR Form 1350 Technical Data Request Questionnaire with the U.S. State Department letter that contains the registration number and valid expiration date, and a completed and signed U.S. Government Non-Disclosure / Non-Use Agreement. However, this is a market survey, not a pre-solicitation notice. There is no formal solicitation available at this time. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made from this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. Please provide your capabilities NO LATER THAN 22 FEBRUARY 2011. Interested companies are requested to submit a capabilities statement within 3 weeks of this notice. Interested firms should also provide their address, point-of-contact with telephone number, e-mail address, and type of business (Small Business, Large Business, 8a Small Business, Hubzone Small Business, and Service Disabled Veteran Small Business). All responses to this Market Survey shall be in writing (English Language). The POC for this action is Mr. Jerry Ilaria, Contract Specialist, US Army Contracting Command-Picattiny, ACC-PICA-SW, BLDG. 9, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000.
