- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate with Simmonds Precision Products, Inc. (Simmonds) on a sole source basis for the acquisition of forty-two (42) IMDS Integrated Vehicle Health Management Units (IVHMUs); forty-two (42) Data Transfer Units (DTUs); and eighteen (18) Retrofit Kits for the MH-60R/S aircraft. NAVAIR plans to issue a modification to contract number N00019-06-C-0298 to include the FY11 IVHMUs, DTUs and Retrofit kits. Simmonds is the sole developer and manufacturer of the IMDS IVHMUs, DTUs and Retrofit Kits. Simmonds is the only contractor with the technical data and capabilities that can meet the Government's requirements to perform this effort for the MH-60 aircraft.
