Description

The Contracts Department of Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego (FISCSD), intends to award a purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12 on a sole source basis to Virginia Diodes, Inc. of Charlottesville, VA for one (1) each Quasi-Optical Detector in order to measure the output of a new Terahertz (THz) source. This requirement is being issued on a sole-source basis as Virginia Diodes Inc (VDI) is the only supplier of a quasi-optical solid-state based THz detector in the frequency band required by NPS ™s application with the following specifications: Required Frequency Range: 100-2000GHz Sensitivity: 500 V/W, across the band NEP: 10pW/rtHz Sub-ns response time Room temperature, which eliminates the need of cryogenics.
