Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) #20, VA Roseburg Healthcare System, 913 NW Garden Valley Blvd., Roseburg, Oregon, intends to negotiate sole source procurement for cultural sensitivity training specific to the unique needs of American Indian veterans and their families with the federally recognized tribe, Yakama Nation, PO Box 151, Toppenish, WA 98948. This acquisition VA-260-11-RQ-0398 is being negotiated as sole source procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. This is a unique training event as it is held on the "sacred grounds" of the Yakama Nation. We work closely as government to government agencies to provide better healthcare to Indian veterans and their families. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
