- Description
- The VA NW Health Network (VISN20) intends to negotiate a single source procurement for commercial PACS services in accordance with FAR Part 13 with BRIT Systems. AGFA cPACS is currently being installed throughout the Network. The Network needs an addition month of services from the incumbent contractor, BRIT Systems to maintain critical PACS services during the installation phase of the new system. BRIT Systems is the sole manufacturer and distributor of its products and services and all of BRIT Systems applications are proprietary. No other company can provide these products or support for these products. Due to the fact BRIT Systems retains ownership of each system and software license, they are responsible for licensing and supporting this equipment. No other party can provide license renewal or maintenance services on any of the BRIT equipment. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone inquiries will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit literature detailing how their services meet the VA requirements to the Contractor. Responses received on or before February 01, 2011 will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
