Description: The Hampton Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) in Hampton, VA is seeking the services of a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business with diverse experience in a wide range of mechanical repairs, installations, and demolitions to perform such functions on a continual basis here at the Hampton VAMC. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This contract will be a indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract that encompasses a broad range of mechanical maintenance, repair, and and other associated work on real property located at the Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, Virginia 23667. During the contract period, Facilities Management Service will identify projects for task orders (TO 冱) that will be issued by the Contracting Officer (CO). The CO has the right to withdraw a proposed Task Order before and after the receipt of the contractors proposal for the proposed TO. The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment and personnel necessary to accomplish each TO. Each TO will vary in size and dollar amounts. The TO 冱 will involve, but will not be limited to steam valve replacements, pump replacements, isolation valves, general plumbing, shower valves, air handlers, chillers, hot water coils, pump systems, motors, humidifiers, steam tunnel work, sump pumps, pressure valves, steam traps, sprinklers, medical gas systems, vacuum pumps, natural gas systems, fire suppression systems, heat exchangers, boiler plant work, HVAC units, installation of HVAC ductwork, installation of fire stopping, miscellaneous demolition, and other associated work. b. The VA Medical Center mechanical maintenance/repair/renovation shall conform to the requirements of the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) Environment of Care Standards, the VA master specifications requirements, and other applicable codes and standards. MULTIPLE AWARD OPTION: The contracting Officer, at his/her discretion, may make multiple awards from the solicitation. ELIGIBILITY - SDVOSB SET-ASIDE: This procurement is a set-aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB). The contractor is required to be located, either by virtue of the main office or a satellite office, within an area permitting a maximum of a two (2) hour response time (physical presence) to the Hampton VAMC. The office or satellite office must be operational prior to award of the contract and throughout the duration of the contract, and must be open for business from at least 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. GENERAL INFORMATION: This contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity type contract. Task Orders shall be based on individual projects, and may be issued for a period of one (1) calendar year from date of award, with options to extend the basic contract annually for four (4) additional years. The guaranteed minimum is $10,000.00 for the base year and any option year exercised. Exercising option years is solely at the discretion of the government. This IDIQ will have a $4,500,000.00 maximum limit. This maximum limit is not a guarantee of work that will be issued under the contract; it is merely the maximum allowable aggregate. The maximum allowable task order is $500,000.00. This is a presolicitation notice only.
