Description
This sources sought notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. This announcement is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) and does not commit the Government to solicit or award a contract now or in the future. No solicitation is available at this time. The purpose of this notice is to identify sources with the requisite qualifications that could provide the service stated herein. All small business concerns (SB, 8(a), SDB, WOSB, HUBZone, VOSB and SDVOSB) capable of performing the requirement indicated below are encouraged to respond to this notice. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Office of Information Systems Management (OISM) Customer Access and Support Division (CASD) located in Boulder, CO and Gaithersburg, MD, provide support and guidance to enhance the productivity of NIST personal computer and desktop workstation use through the administration of user accounts, consulting services, desktop technology procurement services, break-fix repairs, desktop software licensing, managed desktop program, and information sharing via web, training, and user groups. The division also evaluates emerging client access devices and technologies to ensure effective integration of appropriate technologies into the NIST environment. The CASD seeks to identify sources with the capability to provide these support services at NIST. Contractor support for performing tasks similar to the following is anticipated to be needed in the near future at both the NIST Boulder and Gaithersburg campuses. The estimated number of Users that will require support is approximately 2,750. • Tier I Helpdesk Support (incident and problem management tracking). • Tier II deployment and break / fix services on both Windows and Apple based desktops and laptops. • Blackberry client support. • McAffee End Point disk encryption. • Desktop support technicians must have experience using industry software tools such as Ghost, Memtest86, Dell hardware diagnostics, Virus and Maleware removal software, etc. • Record and track all incidents, requests for service and customer complaints using NIST's incident management tool. • Managed Desktop Support (patch management Asset inventory, software packaging & deployment services). • Windows Server 2003 & 2008, Symantec Backup server, LANDesk server and Active Directory administration. NIST seeks contractor personnel with the following industry certifications: A+, Dell, Microsoft MCP Desktop & Server Administration, Microsoft MCITP Desktop & Server Administration, Apple ACMT, LANDesk Engineer 8.x & 9.0, Symantec End-Point Administrator. NIST seeks a contractor whose Project Manager has ITIL v3 Foundations Certification. This action would require the Contractor to provide 10-15 different individuals, each of whom would work 1880 hours per year. NIST anticipates the subsequent award of an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity contract for a base period of one year, and four, one-year option periods. Sources that have the ability to provide this contracting support are asked to respond to this notice with a corporate capability statement of a maximum of ten (10) pages to provide a clear and complete narrative of current capabilities to meet the requirements as detailed above. Those sources are requested to respond to this notice and in so doing, provide the following information: organization information to include company name and address, size of business as it relates to NAICS code 541519 (size standard $25 million), current point of contact (including telephone number, facsimile number and e-mail address), list of current GSA schedule contracts under which your company can provide services in one or more of the applicable task areas, and a list of contracts within the past three (3) years under which the interested party has performed the same or similar work. All responses shall be emailed to keith.bubar@nist.gov so that they are received no later than 5:00 pm EST February 14, 2011.
