Description
The Operational Contracting Division, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price IDIQ contract. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and not a solicitation or request for proposal (RFP). The RFP/solicitation package will be available after the closing date of this pre-solicitation notice. Proposals are not being solicited or accepted at this time. Interested parties should anticipate a solicitation in the near future. Division, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for High Shock Recorders for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Eglin AFB, FL. The announcement number is FA2823-11-R-8000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334515 with a size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation is set aside 100% for small business. Quoted price list should include FOB Destination. The technical requirements on the item are as follows: 1. Single and multiple channel shock-hardened recorders manufactured by Instrumentation and Engineering Services, Inc. (IES) with the proven ability to survive 100,000 g's in a hard target penetration application. Requirements for high shock recorders needed for use: -Channels: 1 channel, most tests require 4 Analog Channels and 8 Digital Channels; each analog channel must be able to power the transducer with at least 3.3 Volts -Single battery operation -Differential Input -High Sample Rate: at least 200,000 samples/sec (minimum of 200 kHz up to 1 to 2 MHz in some applications) -Storage Capacity (minimum 256K Data Points) -Shock Level of 100,000 G's + -Pre-trigger data: requited to retain segment of data prior to final triggering -Low power consumption -Reusable -Software Support -Weight: 4 ounces or less -Physical size: in some applications, able to fit in a fuze booster cup (1.15 inches radius by 0.7 inch height); otherwise generally about 1 to 1.25 inches diameter by 2.5 inches in length Minimum required models on price list: -IES Model 31 Recorders -IES Model 54 Recorders -IES Model 74 Recorders -IES VFR1 Recorders -Recorder memory upgrades for each model series -Analog Interface Boxes for each model as needed Note: This is a brand-name only requirement.
