- Description
- NASA/ARC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for a steamvacuum system NOx emission reduction system. This procurement includes all labor andmaterials required for a complete and fully operating system. The Base Item 1 has tenrequirements (listed below as 1-10) and Option 1 only has one requirement: Base Item 1:1.Remove existing foundations and pads.2.Install SVS NOX Emission Reduction system with associated columns, pumps andpiping.3.Install cooling tower and heat exchanger with associated pumps and piping.4.Install storage building with secondary containment to enclose NOX gas analyzerchemical feed pumps, control panel, motor control panel, and eye wash station. 5.Install NOX emission chart recorder and remote control and alarm inside thecontrol room of bldg 234A Boiler plant with required connections from NOX emissionanalyzer to record NOX emissions. 6.Provide and install chemical tanks for NOX emission reduction system.7.Perform commissioning and acceptance testing of all new systems. 8.Remove existing 18 SVS first stage piping at (E) flanged spacer section andinstall a 18 blind flange after NOX emission reduction system is completely installedand tested.9.Install lighting on cooling tower and NOX emission reduction system.10.Perform and submit a system hazard analysis. Option Item:1.Demolition of existing NOx scrubber Vacuum Sphere, structural supports, existingNOx scrubber tower, existing NOx scrubber surge holding tank, existing NOx scrubber surgewaste tank, existing storage shed, existing chemical tank, andassociated piping. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 238220 and$14,000,000 respectively. This work will range between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sitesfor the release of any solicitation or synopsis.Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business;average annual revenue for past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether theyare large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or woman-owned; number of yearsin business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potentialteaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potentialprime); list of customers covering the past five years (highlight relevant workperformed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement; and pointof contact - address and phone number).
