- Description
- PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATINAL PURPOSES ONLY. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District intends to solicit GE Fanuc authorized North American sources for Proficy iFix products in order to upgrade components of the existing iFix computer software in SCADA and control systems for various Corps of Engineers power plants throughout Georgia and Alabama pursuant to the authority under FAR 6.302. The current versions vary from the existing iFix 3.0 to 3.5 software. Additionally, various license options will be added to existing licenses already at the latest iFix version. The original supply contract for the SCADA system provided all of the hardware and software. To switch to different software would impact the Corps by losing investments in equipment and software costs and pose compatibility problems between current equipment and replacement equipment if another vendor were selected. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received within 15 calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions should be sent by email to Geanette Kelley, at geanette.kelley@usace.army.mil.
