Description

The purpose of this notice is to announce that the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) San Diego will be issuing a non-competitive solicitation for the Hot Plant Training Engine PIP Modifications Installation to be performed at the Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego, California. In accordance with 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), only one or a limited number or responsible sources are available and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1). The Government intends to place a contract with original equipment manufacturer (Fincantieri Marine System North America, Inc.) located at 2082 FM 2725, Ingleside, TX 78362 for work to be completed from February 22, 2011 through March 11, 2011. This notice of intent is to satisfy the presolicitation requirement and is not a request for competitive proposals. The contract will be firm-fixed price.
