Description
This amendment will incorporate the extension of the closing date to January 24, 2011, 16:30PST. This extension o time will allow for the incorporation of the changes and updates scheduled for the 3.2.upgrade for the VIPR program that is scheduled on or about January 20, 2011.This amendment also clarifies payment for transports, (both associated with heavy equipment and stand alone). The solicitation in VIPR will be amended to reflect these changes in a future maintenance cycle: The minimum daily guarantee is applicable to time under hire as defined in D.21.8 below: The time under hire shall start at the time the resource begins traveling to the incident after being ordered by the Government, and end at the estimated time of arrival back to the point of hire after being released, except as provided in D.21.8.3. If the transport (associated with a piece of heavy equipment) is released prior to the heavy equipment and the contractor elects to return the transport to their home base, time under hire would end at the estimated time of arrival back to the point of hire, except as stated in D.21.8.1 below: If the contractor elects to keep the transport at the incident location after it is released by the government, no further payment is due. At the conclusion of the assignment, when the heavy equipment is released, time under hire would begin when the transport begins travel back to the incident. The reference to loaded miles on the Resource Form will be removed at a later time and should be disregarded when quoting prices for the transport(s). Mileage will be paid for round trip mileage otherwise the minimum daily guarantee is applicable for all time under hire, whichever is greater. End of Amendment.
