Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salem, Virginia is seeking potential sources capable of providing all necessary personnel, supervision, labor, material, secure containers, (8 ea) (8 cu. yd. recyclable containers), (2 ea) (30 cu. yd. roll-off recyclable containers, and (1ea) 30 cu. yd. roll-off compactor), for the separation, collection, removal, disposal and transportation of all recyclable trash as specified in strict accordance with all terms and conditions as may be necessary to provide recycling service. Contractor shall be in compliance with all current local, state and federal recycle regulations, laws and license during the period of contractual performance for the VAMC Salem, VA. Recyclable items shall include but not be limited to cardboard, all recyclable plastic, aluminum cans, non sensitive paper articles and wrappings. Secure destruction by shredding of all paper (to include magazines, newsprint, magnetic tape, microfilm, microfiche, plastic, cassette tapes and/or CD diskettes in accordance with VA destruction of recycle material requirements. Estimated Monthly recycle material weight is 10-15 tons. Any rebate from the recycling facility will be passed on to the VA with no administrative handling fee. Period of performance is from February 01, 2011 (or date of award) through September 30, 2011 with four (4) one (1) year renewal options that can be exercised by the Government. The applicable NAICS Code is 562219 / Other Nonhazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal / size standard $12.5Mil. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; firm's experience in providing recyclable services meeting VAMC requirements in a professional setting and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
