- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of (1) Medical Document Control Clerk Services for the Federal Correctional Institution, located in Marianna, Florida. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contractor shall provide Medical Document Clerk services for the inmate population in a correctional setting for the Health Services Department at FCI Marianna. The contract period will consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the government. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year are 1,320 sessions. A session is defined as one hour. The contractor will conduct services an average of twenty five to thirty hour per week. Additional sessions may be provided on an as needed basis. The schedule will not exceed 30 hours per week. The Contractor will normally work, Monday through Friday (except federal holidays), between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The contractor's applicants must have at a minimum a medical/technical background obtained through education or on the job training. Must possess a high school certificate of graduation or GED. The contractor must have the ability to work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial and ethic backgrounds. The candidate must have knowledge of routine office related duties including working knowledge of computers and word processing programs. The candidate must possess the ability to file various documents in chronological order. The contractor must possess good organizations skills, good interpersonal relationship skills and be able to work effectively with the Medical Staff. The contractor must provide proof that their candidate meets all qualifications. The Contractor will provide Medical Document Control Clerk services in accordance with Bureau of Prison policy. Offers are requested to submit photocopies of their resume or certification, and sign a consent for release of Information along with their quote price per session. The solicitation will be made available on or about January 15, 2011, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 561110, with a small business size standard of $10.0 million. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about February 15, 2011; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered.
