- NASA Johnson Space Center (NASA/JSC) plans to conduct an Aircraft Maintenance andOperational Support (AMOS) Industry Day. NASA/JSC is hereby soliciting firms to attendthis event on January 27, 2011 at Ellington Field in Houston, Texas. The presentation toindustry will be held on Thursday, January 27 from 12:00 P.M. to 2 P.M. in the Building273 Conference Room at Ellington Field. One-on-one communication opportunities will bescheduled from 2:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. In addition, tours of the applicable facilities atEllington Field will be made available 2:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. If necessary, additionaltime for One-on-one communications will be made available on January 28.AMOS includes support for aircraft at NASA's Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC) locatedat Ellington Field in Houston and El Paso, Texas, and Edwards Air Force Base in Edwards,California. Additional support will be provided to NASA aircraft located at LangleyResearch Center (LaRC), Hampton, Virginia and other remote sites, domestic and foreign,where services are required.Aircraft to be supported by AMOS include:* Twenty Northrop T-38 supersonic jet trainers * Two General Dynamic WB-57 aircraft* One Aero Spacelines SGT-337 Super Guppy* Three Gulfstream GII/GIII aircraft * One Cessna 206* One Lancair Columbia 300* One Cirrus Design SR-22* One North American Rockwell OV-10A* One Bell UH-1H helicopter* One Boeing 747 aircraft * One Douglas C-9B* One Beechcraft C-12/B200 aircraftA requirement summary for the AMOS acquisition is provided on the AMOS website athttp://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/AMOS/. An online technical library for the AMOSprocurement is also available via the AMOS website. It is the potential offerorsresponsibility to monitor the website for updates to the technical library.GOALS:The goals of Industry Day are to:1. Provide information on the current Aircraft Maintenance and Modification Program(AMMP) contract.2. Promote competition on the proposed new AMOS acquisition.3. Share the Governments current vision and objectives pertaining to the newacquisition.4. Allow NASA/JSC to better utilize industry input to improve the future Request forProposal (RFP).Industry Day is open to all firms that are interested in pursuingcontracting/subcontracting opportunities on the AMOS procurement whether they haveperformed work at JSC or not. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.No photos or recording devices are permitted during the Industry Day presentation,one-on-ones sessions or facility tours.A 45 minute open Question and Answer Session will follow the presentation.ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS:To facilitate interactive communications with industry, NASA personnel will also beavailable for private meetings with individual companies in conjunction with IndustryDay.The purpose of these meetings is to provide industry with the opportunity to betterunderstand the existing requirements under AMOS and to allow industry an opportunity toprovide input on the questions asked in the posted Request for Information (RFI)Synopses. In addition, the Government may ask for additional clarification on writtenresponses to these questions. The meetings are intended to be question and answersessions in which neither side will be making a formal presentation.Any company may request a one-on-one meeting. Meetings will not exceed 45 minutes inlength and attendance is limited to four persons. Scheduling of appointment times willbe on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments will be scheduled in 45 minuteincrements between 2:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M on January 27.Guidance for conduct during the One-on-One communications is attached to this posting asAttachment 1: One-on-One Communications with Industry Guidance.Tours of Ellington Field will be made available three different times during theafternoon of January 27. Attendance is limited to two persons per company. Tours willstart at the Building 273 Conference Room located at Ellington Field and will beconducted on foot. Note that tours of the NASA Ellington Field flight facilities requireclosed toe shoes, with no high heels permitted. Companies/teams will be assigned to specific tours and times. Tours will be scheduled soas not to overlap with any one-on-one meetings. Companies will be notified on or beforeJanuary 25 of their assigned tour time.SIGN-UP REQUIREMENTS:To make reservations for the AMOS Industry day, one-on-one sessions or facility tours,please contact Alice J. Therefore, the e-mailRSVP must explicitly state each of the companys attendees citizenship status. v. Names and titles of attendees (limited to four) from your company that intend toattend the one-on-one breakout sessions. Any special time requests, with justification(will only be accommodated as practical).Companies will be notified on or before Tuesday, January 25 of their assigned meetingtime. (Should the number of firms requesting meetings exceed the time available onJanuary 27 and 28, other meeting times will be arranged as soon as is practical).vi. Names and titles of all persons planning to attend the facility tours. Limit is twoper company per tour. Aconfirmation email will be sent to acknowledge your reservation.DIRECTIONS TO BUILDING 273 CONFERENCE ROOM AT ELLINGTON FIELD:As you are heading South on I-45, turn left at Farm-To-Market Rd 2553 N/Scarsdale Blvd. Proceed on Farm-To-Market Rd 2553 N/Scarsdale Blvd until you come to Old GalvestonRd/Highway 3. Turn Right on Old Galveston Rd/Highway 3 and proceed on until you reachBrantley Ave. Turn left on Brantley Ave. and Ellington Field will be on your right. Proceed to the Post 18 Guard station located at the front of NASA Ellington FieldFacility and provide your credentials.
