Description
Questions and Answers Transferrable Data Elements This Request for Information (RFI) is issued to assist the Government in identifying potential sources capable of providing support for the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortage (DMSMS) requirement. This information will be used for Market Research purposes only and does not in itself represent the issuing of a formal request for proposal and is not intended to be taken as such. This RFI and the upcoming Industry Day will be used to improve the understanding of Government's requirements. The Industry Day is schedule for 15 Dec 2010 at the Tinker Industrial Park. All interested participant must provide a list of their company's attendees no later than 10 Dec 2010. Upon receipt of attendees, exact location and time for Industry Day will be provided to sources. During the Industry Day the Government will provide, 1. A detail overview of its requirement 2. Answer question regarding the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) 3. Define importance of data transfer integrity a. Data Association and Linkage b. Recreate data that is not transferable from existing tool c. Transition time for weapon system supportability Potential sources should be prepared to ask specific questions during industry day to assist them in preparing their response to the RFI. The RFI response should address: 1. Ability to re-capture nontransferable data 2. Timeframe needed to repopulate, re-associate and re-link data fields 3. Transition time required to provide weapon system support 4. Your understanding of the Air Force requirements It is important to note that the requirements identified in the PWS and its attachments along with the information that is discussed regarding the requirements at the Industry Day are important to the Government and should be addressed in your submitted package. Contractors shall prepare and submit RFI response to the Contracting Officer no later than 28 Jan 2011. RFI response may be electronic or hard-copy.
