- Description
- 1. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center -- Fort Sam Houston and the Fort Hood Directorate of Logistics (DOL) will be conducting an Industry Day conference, one-on-one meetings, and a site visit at the aviation facility at Fort Hood in Killeen Texas on 19 & 20 Jan 11 in order to share information on the Government's requirement. The Aviation Maintenance (AM) Support Services contract will provide all personnel, management, methodology, administration, unit training, labor, tools, supplies, and equipment necessary to successfully support subject operations. Note in addition to the rotary wing maintenance portion of this requirement the government will be adding maintenance and training support for the MQ-1 Predator Unmanned Aerial Vehicle within the next 10-18 months (tentatively). Prospective vendors are encouraged to forward questions as applicable in regards to this new requirement. This industry day is an exchange of information between the U. S. Government and industry and it is one of several iterative steps aimed at expanding the understanding of sources that can deliver a product/service capable of performing the mission of DOL AM operation. The proposed AM contracts are being considered for small business set-aside. The anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 488190, Other Support Activities for Air Transportation. The Industry Day conference will be held in III Corp Headquarters Building 1001, Raemagen Room on 19 Jan 11, starting at 1300 with sign-in starting at approximately 1230 hrs. There will be a site visit at the aviation maintenance facility the morning of 19 Jan 11 and all interested parties who have been cleared will meet at building 1001 at 0900hrs prior to heading toward the maintenance facility. 2. One-on-one appointments: The Government will be available for limited one-on-one appointments with vendors on 20 Jan 11, beginning at 0730. The purpose of the one-on-one appointments is to answer questions about the requirement and allow the Government to obtain specific feedback from your company representatives. Each company will be allotted no more than 10 minutes for the one-on-one appointments. The conference and appointment locations on Fort Hood, Texas will be provided to all registered vendors via e-mail. Please complete the Industry Day section of Attachment 1, the Registration sheet and email the names of the point of contacts (POCs) at the bottom of this page NLT noon 10 Jan 11. Attendance at one-on-one appointments will be limited to a total of four (4) representatives per contractor team (prime and subcontractors). The one-on-one appointments will consist of any (non-marketing) information on contractor/contractor team capabilities and experience that the participants would like to share. All questions and answers will be documented by the government and will be posted on FedBizOpps via the Army Single Face to Industry interface. Any company that would like to request a one-on-one appointment must convey its interest by completing the one-on-one section of Attachment 1, the Registration sheet, with the names of individuals attending, and a single contractor POC email address and phone number no later than noon, 10 Jan 11. A government representative will contact each contractor POC as soon as possible, but no later than 12 Jan 11 with their one-on-one day/time appointment. Appointments will be made on a first come-first served basis. 3. Advance Questions: If you have any specific questions that you would like the government to answer during the Industry Day regarding the Aviation Maintenance Program, please submit them to the POCs at the bottom of this page no later than 12 Jan 11. Note: This is NOT a bidders conference and this announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The Government will not assume liability for costs incurred by any offeror for presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the government. Please do not include or attach brochures in addition to your response. 4. If you have any questions, please email them to Ralph Y. Solomon (Contract Specialist) and Theresa Glasgow (Contracting Officer) at ralph.solomon@us.army.mil or Theresa.glasgow@us.army.mil
