Description
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is seeking small business sources that can provide administrative and logistical support services with an emphasis on international activities. The successful contractor will be asked to perform meeting support for international and domestic conferences. The contractor will be required to develop conference plans and policies and provide planning, technical, and logistical support for up to 40 domestic and international scientific meetings, conferences, and workshops per year. Support for scientific meetings, conferences, and workshops will include assistance in selecting participants, site selection and reservations, meeting participant communication and travel arrangements, reimbursement of travel costs, meeting room arrangements and registration fees and materials. Any potential small business offerors capable of providing the services detailed above should respond with a capability statement by 11:00 am EST, January 24, 2011. Large businesses should not reply to this announcement. Capability statements must be limited to no more than ten pages and reference similar work that has been performed by the offeror and the dollar value of that work. Capability statements must detail experience and expertise with international travel using the Federal Travel Regulations and experience managing concurrently up to 30 international meetings per year and 10 domestic meetings per year. These factors will be used to determine capability. Potential offerors that do not address these requirements will not be considered capable. Potential offerors must indicate business size in their capability statement. Small business must be able to perform 50% of the work required. This is a market survey, not a request for proposals. All questions must be directed, in writing, to Patrick Wilson at wilsonpm@mail.nih.gov.
