Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 20, in accordance FAR 13.106-1(b), the single source paragraph, intends to negotiate a base plus 4 year from 1/2011 to 12/2015 as a single source with Leica Microsystems for the following emergency repairs and services as required, labor, travel and replacement parts on the SP1 561 Laser Microscopes. NAICS 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) applies. This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the responding company is a Leica Microsystems, authorized vendor/installer that can perform the above services without voiding warranties and that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 pm on January 14, 2011. All responses must be e-mailed to Amparo.hall@va.gov. NONE
