- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. THIS INFORMATION IS POSTED FOR SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES ONLY. PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FROM ANY FIRMS OTHER THAN THOSE IN THE FY09 MATOC POOL. The work consists of constructing a first enlargement of existing levee by truck-hauling material from Contractor furnished borrow pit, clearing vegetation, recapping crown, degrading levee reaches, installation of reinforcement geotextile, construction of clay cut-off trench, possibly providing Contractor designed access road and possible installation of a pontoon bridge across levee interior drainage canal (if environmental clearance is obtained for an alternate access road), install & maintain truck wash down racks, turf establishment and maintenance,and all operations incidental thereto.
