Description
The United States Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Close Combat Systems, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is seeking sources for the acquisition, packaging for International shipment, and storage of the Garrett PD6500i (Model#11684xx) Walkthrough Metal Detector (WTMD) & associated spare parts to sustain equipment fielded to Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) in Afghanistan. The Garrett PD6500i WTMD shall include the following:a. The WTMD shall be operational with 110VAC with a built in battery back-up module.b. The WTMD shall include a desktop remote with 328 control cable.c. The WTMD shall be packed and shipped for International Shipment Interested sources should describe their ability to procure, manage, store, expedite and minimize lead times upon receipt of order for a Garrett PD6500i WTMD and/or associated spare parts. Qualified sources shall provide their best delivery times for the Garrett PD6500i WTMD and/or associated spare parts. A specified list of spare parts can be reviewed within the DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW) attachment to this notice. Qualified sources should have the ability to develop cost-effective packaging and consolidation of items using standard commercial practices to allow safe transport and storage from the shipping facility to International locations. Respondents shall provide details pertaining to their packaging abilities/expertise for International shipment and previous experience. Qualified, interested sources are requested to provide a capability statement to include company name, address, telephone number, point of contact, company size (please specify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business), item nomenclature, item description, and applicable documentation/brochure/literature. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of the market survey. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. Interested sources should submit their qualification data and requested information no later than 1700 hrs EST on 24 January 2011 by email to joan.williams3@us.army.mil. Interested sources may also submit their response to JM&L Acquisition Center, ATTN Joan Williams, Building 9, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000 no later than 1700 hrs EST on 30 December 2010. Telephone responses will not be accepted.
