Description
This is not a solicitation or a call for offers. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a sole-source order to The Spectranetics Corporation at 9965 Federal Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80921 for a lease for a Spectranetics Corporation model CVX-300 medical laser system and a comprehensive preventive maintenance and repair service during the contract period for all equipment and systems provided under the contract to be delivered to the VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS), in Mather, CA. The important feature(s) of the CVX-300 medical laser system are: 1.Cool ultraviolet energy technology 2.Ability to ablate arterial blockages and remove pacemaker leads. 3.Ability to remove intravascular tissue through photo-ablation 4.Ability to be used in multiple minimally-invasive cardiovascular procedures Potential offerors interested in providing a brand name or equal product should submit information regarding their laser system and answer, using email, the below questions in response to this sources sought notice. To the maximum extent practicable, interested potential offerors are encouraged to respond to this solicitation using pre-existing materials (such as brochures, web-sites, marketing documents) rather than creating new documents. ***DISCLAIMER*** This Sources Sough Synopsis is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), under Exchanges With Industry Before Receipt of Proposals, responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought. Responses to this sources sought notice should be emailed to daniel.czech@va.gov not later than January 04, 2011 and should include the following information: -Name and address of company -NAICS code of business -Business size and socioeconomic category - such as, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran Owned Small business, 8(a), HUBZone, Women-Owned Small Business -List of end item manufacturers and subcontractors which includes the manufacturer's or subcontractor's business size and socioeconomic category(ies) (if applicable) - Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran Owned Small business, 8(a), HUBZone, Women-Owned Small Business -Recent, relevant experience (contract numbers, dollar values, awarding agency) in providing a -A letter or memorandum indicating a positive intention to provide a proposal when this requirement is solicited. The letter should be signed on behalf of your company by a senior procurement official, senior management, owner, or partner (an individual with authority to bind the firm). -Information about the offeror's alternative to the CVX-300 medical laser system. This information should address all important features listed above.
