- This is a four-year Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) Term, Level-of-Effort contract. The purpose of CEED II is to grow and expand key competitive industries in Moldova. •· Objective 1: Increased productivity in targeted industries. The implementing contractor may provide project-supported interventions at any point in the value chain for increased productivity in the industry and individual enterprise. Project objectives and underlying activities are thus to be directed toward providing assistance to helping the industry identify and implement solutions that lead to higher levels of productivity, thereby paving the way for growth and entry into new markets. •· Objective 2 - Trade and investment increased for targeted industries. Activities will facilitate trade and investment transactions. Technical assistance will help resolve export and investment financing problems faced by Moldovan companies in their attempts to be competitive on international markets as well as to support the attraction of increased levels of business investment, both foreign and domestic. CEED II will similarly promote international product and process standards that facilitate entry into international markets. •· Objective 3- Public-private dialogue improved to better ensure that key industries have supportive relationships with government. Activities will address industry-specific legal, regulatory and administrative factors identified as inhibiting industry growth and investment, through representative organizations. The project will support constructive dialogue and knowledge exchange for government action in creating and sustaining a business-friendly investment environment.
