- DESCRIPTION: The United States Coast Guard's Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron Jacksonville intends TO PROCURE the ANV-126A-001 Goggle test set. This item is required to maintain proper maintenance intervals while our other night vision goggle test set is sent in for repair or calibration. The ANV-126-001 and ANV-126A-001 test sets are the only approved test sets for ANVIS-9 night vision goggle maintenance as per CGTO MPC256155.0. The difference between the ANV-126-001 and the ANV-126A-001 is an upgrade. Although the upgrade is not required for ANVIS-9 maintenance, the manufacturer does not offer their earlier model anymore. The Test set with the upgrade is also authorized for ANVIS-9 maintenance needs. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Hoffman Engineering under the authority of FAR 6.302. The Coast Guard has conducted extensive market research for other sources and has determined that the manufacturer is the sole provider of this item. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
