Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to negotiate with Olympia Entertainment for use of the Masonic Temple in Detroit for a proposed concert event for veterans on February 12, 2011. The proposed action is for the use of the facility and the provision of services to facilitate a concert for area veterans. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one (1) source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This procurement is based on the determination that the government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by the venue in question. __________ This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Responses received on or before December 23, 2010, will be considered. To be eligible for consideration, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration data base at www.ccr.gov. The NAICS Code is 711310. Registration is free and potential offerors are encouraged to visit that CCR website and register as soon as possible to avoid delays should they be selected for a contract award. Questions concerning this announcement should be directed to the Contract Specialist using the e-mail address provided. Responses must be submitted in writing to the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Attention: Gregory J. Stevens, Contracting Specialist (90CSC), 4646 John R, Detroit, MI 48201, or by email at gregory.stevens@va.gov or by fax at 313-576-1327. Responses must be received no later than 4:00pm, December 23, 2010. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
