Notice of Contract Action. This is not a solicitation of offers. Under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1) (FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements), the Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates entering into a sole source acquisition for the supplies and services described in this notice. The vendor is Tecan US Inc., 4022 Stirrup Creek Drive, STE 310, Durham, NC 27703-9411 (DUNS: 105868038, CAGE: 1GUA3), a subsidiary of Tecan US Group, Inc. Durham, NC. The Veterans Integrated Service Network “ New England (VISN 1) intends to acquire from the vendor a scalable, automated liquid handling robot for use in high throughput normalization of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) samples. The Massachusetts Veterans Epidemiology Resource and Information Center (MAVERIC “ Stop 151 VAMC BHS, 150 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130) Core Laboratories is required to process and store specimens for clinical trials run by the VA Cooperative Studies Program (CSP). The subject acquisition is part of the mobilization for a large scale genomic project that requires processing of large quantities of samples.
