Description
Service for Veterinary Oversight and Support to VA Research Investigators: The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Healthcare System, Gainesville, FL intends to negotiate and procure service for veterinary oversight and support to the VA Research Investigators from University of Florida, Animal Services 207 Grinter Hall Gainesville, Fl 32611. The service is for the VA Medical Center Research, Gainesville, FL. This procurement of service is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other vendor or product will satisfy agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge University of Florida is the only institution that can provide immediate assistance as necessary to the Research program. The purpose of the service is to establish a veterinary oversight and support to VA Research Investigator. The contractor will be responsible for providing professional, regulatory, and clinical veterinary services to the NF/SG VHS (NAICS 541712). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any vendor that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Purchasing Agent by December 16, 2010, 11:00 am, from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Purchasing Agent via e-mail at susan.delacruz@va.gov or send a fax to (352)-381-5747. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the NF/SG VHS will proceed with the sole source negotiation with University of Florida as noted herein. Cost associated with the preparation and submission of information and/or any follow-up information requests are the responsibility of the vendor and these costs will not be reimbursed by the Government.
