- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 260 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ 07724 intends to enter into a contract on the basis of other than full and open competition for database administration services of the VA, Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), Enhance Veteran Experience and Access to Healthcare (EVEAH) Initiative ™s Bed Management System (BMS). The TAC intends to award a sole source, six (6) month, firm-fixed-price contract with three (3), three (3) month options to SBG Technology Solutions, 2 Brittany Lane, Stafford, VA 22554-7687, a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) pursuant to authority 38 U.S.C. 8127(c), Veterans First Contracting Program and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-5, Authorized or required by statute. The proposed solicitation number for this effort is VA118-11-RP-0061. Work under this acquisition will be performed at the contractor ™s facility. This acquisition will provide features for viewing, creating, maintaining and decision support for the following key flow activities: Track current and pending bed availability Track patient movement through the system Plan, prepare, and manage patient flow Identify and anticipate peak demands Maximize use of hospital capacity Reduce śfee basis ť days and costs Display bed occupancy status for all beds in the facility and/or Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) Provide visibility of bed availability within all VAMCs for emergency management Automate request and assignment of beds Reduce cycle times for bed cleaning and readiness Anticipate and track patient discharges Display and facilitate timely discharge appointments The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541511. The estimated date of award for this action is December 23, 2010. This is a notice of intent, not a request for proposals.
