- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source contract to General Physics., Elkridge, MD. The NUWCDIVNPT requirement is for Torpedo Material Management Services. General Physics Corporation is the current provider of these services. These services are essential. This is a one-time effort until Seaport-E solicitation N00024-11-R-3022 can be awarded. The NAICS is 541330; size standard is $27 million. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
