Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Contractor shall supply the following wire rope and attached fittings. All wire rope shall be in compliance with API SPEC9A (Latest Issue) MIN, Length Critical, Pre-Lubricated 639-03 Wire Rope Tags. ID Marker: 1 Blue + Yellow Filament (Internal), Adjoining Red and Yellow Strands. All wire rope must be made and assembled in the USA. Wire rope spelter socket reference can be found in the Crosby Group Inc, General Catalog. Two Spools (2): 1-1/8" 6 x 25 EIPS, preformed RRL IWRC 130,000 1090' (total length). The wire rope shall have the following fitting attached to one end: Crosby Closed Spelter Socket: 1-1/8" (28-30mm), Structural Strand Dia: 15/16 -1 in, Ultimate Load (t) 100, Crosby Stock Number 1040037, G-417Galv. The Crosby fitting end of the wire rope shall be attached to the spool center with the wire rope seized end exposed. Spelter socket shall be fixed to the wire rope by Zinc-Poured Spelter Socketing. The efficiency shall be 100% for all grades and constructions of wire rope. The spelter sockets and pouring methods must be American Bureau of Shipping and ANSI/AMSE STANDARDS approved. The Contractor shall provide wire rope mill test certificate and spelter fitting certificates. Socket pouring certificates are required as these are used for overhead lifting applications. The Contractor will provide verification that the wire rope is made and assembled in the USA.
