Description
The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions. 1. Is the winch to pull propeller and stand onto pallet then stop it from moving too fast/far while stand is on pallet OR is winch to pull propeller and stand onto pallet then control propeller and stand while rolling off pallet? Answer: The Winch will pull the propeller if manual pushing would be hazardous or too heavy. The winch will be a stop it also if needed. So, the function of the winch will serve both. 2. Are you sure you want aluminum for this pallet or will you accept a like material (i.e. stainless steel)? Answer: Aluminum is required. 3. What is the physical weight of the propeller? Are we correct in understanding that the load capacity will never exceed 2,000 lb? Answer: The propeller assembly weighs about 800 to 900 lbs. Plus the stand which is about 500 to 600 lbs. The total load of the propeller and stand is approximately 2,000 lbs. The 2,000 lbs load capacity is initially stated as the minimum. The ideal maximum load is 3,000 lbs. 4. Do you want the drawing certified by a professional engineer? Answer: Yes. 5. Does the railing need to be made to OSHA Building Code, i.e., 42" high with toe plate? Answer: Yes. 6. Is there any preference for using diamond tread plate or smooth plate for top and ramp? Answer: Application of non-skid on the surface is the most ideal for this project. 7. What does the stand look like, how many wheels does it have and what is the wheel spacing? Answer: The attached image is the actual stands that will hold the propellers. 8. If winch is mounted on corner with pulley in center to allow access when forks are in place, does that pose any problems for users or will they not need access to the winch when forklift is being used so that it can be mounted in the center between fork openings? Answer: The winch must be mounted in the back corner of the pallet to allow personnel to safely access and operate from the side while the pallet is fork-lifted and suspended on the appropriate elevation leveled to the flat bed truck. 9. What is the center-to-center spacing width of the forks? Answer: The fork-lift points must have enough room for the forks and in proportional location that will be balanced. The forks are adjustable/movable from side-to-side. It will adjust accordingly to where the fork-lift points are placed. The date and time for submission remains unchanged.
