Description
This is a Sources Sought Synopsis. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. This Sources Sought Synopsis is a market survey being conducted by the St. Louis District, Corps of Engineers to identify Small Business firms for a potential award to provide rope access rigging and supervision for structural inspection. The Contractor shall provide a three (3) person rope access team to perform the following duties: Develop effective rigging plan, supply all necessary rescue/rigging and rope access equipment and perform safety supervision of USACE structural bridge engineers inspecting Bridge # 29 that crosses the Holston River at Holston Army Ammunition Plant located east of Kingsport, TN. Bridge #29 is a 4-span steel through truss supporting timber railroad ties with a maximum span of 183 feet and a total bridge length of 625 feet and was constructed in 1895. A Draft Scope of Work is attached. One contract is anticipated for award. The Government requests interested small business concerns to submit a brief capability statement of no more than two (2) pages indicating experience and whether personnel are SPRAT or IRATA Level III certified. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Synopsis.
