- This is a notice that the National Park Service, Golden Gate NRA (GGNRA) intends to negotiate and award a firm-fixed price contract utilizing other than full and open competition procedures, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 6.302-1(a) to: Bay Ship and Yacht, 2900 Main Street #2100, Alameda CA 94501 It is the National Park Service intention to negotiate and award a firm-fixed price contract utilizing other than full and open competition procedures in an effort to expedite dry-dock services and miscellaneous repairs to include but not be limited to: routine cleaning, painting, yard maintenance, and restoration work for the Historical 80' x 58' x 46 ton wooden ship Scow Schooner Alma in preparation for the Spring 2011 Hands-On Learning Program. The historical nature and age of this vessel prevents it from being towed outside of the San Francisco Bay Area Water System (the area between the Golden Gate & Bay Bridges) into shallow or ocean waters. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within three-(3) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No formal solicitation shall be issued. The Park Service intends to award a firm-fixed price award within three-(3) days of this announcement. The magnitude of this award will be between $100,000 and $500,000 and NAICS Code is 336611 and the PSC is Z299. This announcement is for informational purposes only.End of Announcement
